    Throttle cable adapter

    I had just ordered a custom pre-wired ape hangers kit for my 1998 Harley-Davidson FXSTS Springer. I have 4" risers and 16" bars. The company charged me a lot of money, but my throttle and idle cables wouldn't work when I put everything together. I was confused and angry to say the least. My cables were too long no matter how much I adjusted them. The company that sold them argued with me that they had sent me all the correct parts, BUT they hadn't accounted for my S&S carb. I then found out that Billet Proof had this adapter (which I call a spacer) that would probably help me. I called Billet Proof and had the part within a couple days. The guy on the phone was great and the part was cheap. As soon as I received it, I spent two minutes installing it and my throttle and idle were properly adjusted minutes later. This tiny part made me very happy!!
